A Bridge Between Observational and Modern Sciences Dedication Before I speak of science in any form, I want to honour the teachers who shaped the way I see the world. My first gratitude is to KwinKwinXwaligedzi‑Wakas — Chief Robert Joseph , one of the hereditary chiefs of the Gwawaenuk Tribe, a bridgebuilder, a truth‑teller, a reconciler, whose wisdom opened my eyes to the living relationships between people and the land — the mountains that feel us, the waters that remember us, and the Creation that speaks in ways beyond measurement.
